Studying Motivation

The psychologists from different branches of discipline learn the study of motivation as part of an inner urge that moves an organism toward the fulfillment of a goal. Various theories have been advanced for many years and several states claim that most people are motivated by the need for the fulfillment of psychological needs, while others claim that people are motivated to balance a variety of physical needs. While other theories focus on ways how people respond to various external stimuli, such as money, the value of school achievement, and many other achievements appreciation.

Researchers are studying motivation in wide range of topics, including the topics of hunger and obesity, sexual desire, the effects of reward and punishment, and a variety of needs of power, achievement, social acceptance, love, and self-esteem.

Motivation is the cause of the behavior of an organism, or a reason for an organism to perform an act or behave. In the human self, motivation involves two impulses, namely encouragement of consciousness and unconsciousness. While psychological theory must answer the level of motivation to meet the needs of 'primary', such as the need for food, air or oxygen, and water. Likewise with a secondary level of motivation that aims to meet social needs, such as social relations or group life and achievements. These primaries have to be really fulfilled before an organism gets into the secondary impulses.

In 1954, a psychologist named Abraham Maslow put forward his theory that states that all people are motivated to meet the needs of different levels of the pyramid. The base of Maslow's pyramid is the foundation to survive, such as the need for food, drink, and sleep. While the need for safety in after these psychological needs. According to Maslow, the high level needs are important for us if the more fundamental needs have been met. These various higher levels need include the need for love and ownership, the need for respect and self-actualization.

Abraham Maslow, an American psychologist, has managed to break six levels of motivation, which is according to him that the six levels can determine human behavior. According to Maslow every human being has six requirements are as follows.
1. The need for psychological
2. The need for security and safety
3. The need for love and belonging
4. The need for competence or ability, prestige (prestige), and awards
5. The need for self-fulfillment
6. The need for curiosity and the need to understand

Benarkah Nilai Raport Itu Tidak Penting?

Beberapa waktu yang lalu, seorang kenalan bercerita saat pembagian raport anaknya, ia tampak terbelalak melihat raport anakanya. Tak disangka tak dinyana sang buah hati mendapat ranking 23.

Mau Jadi Apa Kamu Hari Ini?

What I do today is important because I am exchanging a day of my life for it.”
